What's Your Weather Like July 2024

It peaked at 30C today; now 26. Tomorrow onwards looks like being cooler with the 'threat' (aka hope) of thunderstorms. By the 2nd/3rd of August, the jet stream is forecast to be over the UK in force, so probably more unsettled weather.

It's still warm here with 22c feels like 25c.
Partly cloudy and a gentle breeze from the south south west.

 

22c outside and 26c upstairs at 11pm. Windows open all night again last night and could hear some owls having a hoot.

The ground in the flower beds has some deep cracks, which don't disappear when you water. The grass looks scorched.

We are due some heavy showers on Thursday.

Weather will turn soon, and the wind comes from the west again and with it cooler air and eventually rain for some of us.

I discovered a new link on windy.com called "City heatmaps".
That expresses quite good the human made climate change: The temperature currently in London and a bit outside where it's green.

Some blue sky but clouds as well, its either dew or we have had a few drops of rain, I think it's probably dew.

 

Clear, dry start here with an o'night low of 6 degrees [ 8 just now at approx. 7.15am] and another hot day to come. Many parts of Scotland were lower than that - I think Biggar [Lanarkshire] was expected to be down to about 4 degrees, and the usual areas around Ballater/Braemar were similar. The predicted high is about 20, so I'm disappearing to another hill to keep out of it!

Yesterday was mainly cloudy until late morning, with just some short spells of sun breaking through. Afternoon and evening were sunnier. The high was 20.

 

Bright, sunny with a light breeze, 21c heading for high 20s/low 30s. We go back under a high temp warning tomorrow Thursday at 10am, oh joy!

24o in the conservatory all ready. Very close and heavy. No wind. Overcast.

 

It’s a pleasant 18-20 now with a light breeze which I am encouraging through some windows for the next hour, then it will be close everything until tonight. It is more cloudy today, but temps set for 28 again.

 

It was 26c yesterday, but the forecast is 29c today. All windows open. The back of our house, where most of the windows are, faces north so we can sit outside in the shade most of the day. But come late afternoon and evening it hots up especially the red bricks.

Travelled across to Norfolk, Cromer yesterday how the scenery is so different to my part of the world in Wales , no hills just open fields of something growing in them ?. Potatoes , Kale maybe but still blooming hot . Indoors it's 23c so outside ??. Exploring , walking swimming maybe a new adventure never ever been to this part of the world . Got lots of sun hats and cream off we go !
