Back from Berlin yesterday evening. I just had a look at the garden. It must have rained a lot yesterday and quite windy because many of the plants like Foxgloves have fallen over.
Today, 17c expected with some rain in between.

Temperatures will raise slowly but not really to a degree I associate June with. The BBC forecast higher temperatures for the end of June. This is something I read at the end of May, that June will be colder and a bit wet, and of so, it gets more stable at the end of June.
@Victoria Another day that tells us what summer will be is the 27th of June. "Siebenschläfer" Seven Sleepers' Day - Wikipedia
When I came to the UK, I found that this day hadn't much meaning here. But we can take that as an orientation point. Around the 27th of June, the Jetstream should have found its position which is now stable for the next 7 weeks. The weather we have around that day is what it will be for July to mid August.
In other words, there is no guessing behind the BBC weather, and the only question is, will the Jetstream position itself below or above the UK. Below the UK means cold and wet, above means Mediterranean weather.

Yesterday evening turned out to be the warmest and sunniest evening of the week. We sat out on the patio with a couple of friends until almost 10 p.m. and then got chased in by little flying insects.

It rained earlier but has stopped now.

Let's see what the day will bring.

A nice dry start, and bright. O'night low of 6 degrees [10 just now at approx. 7.35 am] with a predicted high of about 14 degrees. The forecast has changed umpteen times for today, so it could be anything! A mix of cloud, sun and showers/rain, so much like yesterday I think.

Yesterday was a mix in the morning, with some quite heavy showers, but drier and sunnier later in the day. I even put the washing out when I got home late afternoon, and it got a fair bit of it dried off. The high was 15.

Rain only for the morning then to expect a keen wind for the rest of the afternoon it’s 10c now . Yesterday before the rain started did manage to plant a few Maltese Cross Red (Lychnis chalcedonica) and Verbena Buenos Aires out the front garden to add a bit more colour now it’s raining that’ll help to bed them in.

Bright and breezy start to the day, but the clouds are gathering for more light rain later, 11 degrees time "togetamoveon", we have visitors arriving in a bit.

A mixed bag is forecast this weekend. The sun is replacing the rain just now, so I can venture out.

Not sure why the icon/symbol for Sunday on my app is ‘rain’ when that’s only forecast for one or two hours out of the whole day??

Sunshine, showers and gusty wind. Three pots of lilies on my patio blew over and landed on my Daphne, bending it. The foxes were on the lawn at the time and they were spooked and ran off. I've just been out and rearranged the pots, putting some heavy ones beside the lilies and moving the Daphne out of the target zone.
