Whats your weather like June 2024

Well summer was nice, what are peoples plans for autumn now its arrived?

 

Started this morning at 19c (computer down) now 21c with a light breeze, Threatened with showers ... but normally they are just that, threats ... but sure would like it to be a reality.

 

Phew, it looks like the unpleasant heat has gone now . Temperatures are looking better for the next week, with a chance of rain in some forecasts but as usual I'll believe it when I see it.

 

Cooler today at 29C max but only by 1 degree. Still sunny and muggy. Saturday's forecast for storms has been downgraded to showers and a high of 21C. That will feel more comfy for painting the kitchen altho we've planned to go out for lunch to cheer us all up so best not to try and paint anyway. Sunday then as it's staying cool at 21C and with a northerly breeze.

 

Still feeling warm here at 27c.
More clouds around and the wind picks up from time to time.

 

We got a stronger breeze with gusts of maybe 35mph. Temperature is nice with 20c.

 

We got to 26,4 at 5 o'clock (we were 26,1c at 2 o'clock so stayed basically level for four hours), now 25c and have had a nice breeze all day. Still threatened with showers tomorrow, but Central and North are under warning for thunderstorms, hail and floods.

 

The temperature has suddenly dropped in the last hour or so and the wind a bit gusty after the last few days which have been very calm.
Its sunny still though.
22c now.

 

What’s happened to the nice weather?! I went to work in the Summer and came home in Autumn. It was a long shift but still.

Been over to Perth today, it absolutely threw it down with rain, back home and dry as a bone, 13 degrees just now and e strong winds have dropped, looks like we may get some rain later.

Cloudy and very windy all day with a shower early afternoon. 18C/64F

 

Very pleasant down here and much cooler today at 24 degrees (5 degrees down on yesterday). It's all starting to look a little dry - just 1.7mm of rain in the last 2 weeks.

 

What an exhausting week and I can expect even more stress today. I have my usual "can't sleep" exhaustion. I haven't had time in June to look at my weather conditions. Here they are:

Apart from the coming weekend, gusty winds up to 35 mph are expected for the next 2 weeks with a mix of sun and clouds. The forecast rain on 4 days is less than 1l/sq m.
We have a strong High in the middle of the Atlantic between America and Portugal/Spain. That is important because if it had positioned closer to Iberia, then they had a hot/dry summer. Because of the current position which looks to last for the next 2 weeks and the position of the Jetstream above the UK, stronger winds are to expect for that reason, and wet air shifts down to Iberia, Western and Central Europe and leaves a hole over southern Italy and northern Africa. This is the classical constellation for a negative summer NAO.
We have had the last 3 months in a row a negative NAO and June could also be measured as slightly negative.
Looking forward, I wouldn't expect a hot summer but a weather as it is lying ahead in the next two weeks: an average of 19C and rain as seen in the accumulation for the next 5 days.
