What's your weather like MARCH 2024

Cloudy currently with a ‘cloud and sun’ symbol for the day and another (suspicious) 0% chance of rain.

I noticed how bright the moon was last night and realised it’s coming up to the March full moon, known as the Worm Moon, on 25th.

 

My laptop gives me the information that today will be partly sunny. Now what does the partly mean? Is it a glimmer, an hour, more or less, and what will happen when the 'partly' is not around? At the moment a nasty very dark rain cloud is rearing its ugly head and chasing away the little glimmer of sun that we had. So partly glimmers partly rain - normal then.

 

@Anna42 , my prediction is that the "partly" moment will occur when you are
a . making a hot drink
b. taking a phone call
c. visiting the loo

By the time you have finished any of the above activities, the "partly" moment will have passed.

Cold and windy here. And having looked at the forecast for the next two weeks, I might as well give up the thought of any gardening in the near future.

I have been waiting for 3 dry, calm days in a row so I can restain my raised beds before all the plants send out their leaves and cover the bits I need to access. Ha! Dream on, eh?

 

Take any dry time you get and make a start @ViewAhead . Doesn't have to be done all in one go.

It's turned cold and windy here too - nasty, penetrating northerly - so I'm back on indoor spring cleaning today and out all day tomorrow. It will turn southerly and wet on Tuesday and stay wet a few days, by which time I'll have had my fill of indoors and be itching to get outside tho it's not looking good for Easter weekend at the mo.

 

... time for a walk and then in the garden as next 2 weeks forecast is RAIN...

 

After strong winds all night it is slowly calming down, suns out but a lot of white clouds too, 9 degrees, so not bad at all, there's a danger some grass may be cut if I can find where I left the enthusiasm to do it.

 

That's another job on my list of things currently not getting done, @burnie.

It is now up to 18f -7c and sunny.

 

Sunny intervals and a moderate breeze from the north west temp 10c feels like 8c. With the cold wind it feels less than that.

 

Breezy with hazy sun, 22,5c.

 

Well the wind dropped and the sun is out, so spent about 4 hours gardening ,very pleasant.First cut of the front lawn too.

 

You could always just let the plants to grow to cover your raised beds with their leaves. Problem solved for this year.
