Whats your weather like May 2024

A pleasant morning here. No idea what yesterday was like as was inside in work for 12 hours!

We have some rain showers forecast for the afternoon, and that seems to be the pattern for the next few days, so I must make the most of the dry hours and time my washing accordingly!

 

Bright and breezy so hopefully the fog will lift, have to go to the hospital for a pre op today, surgery again in a couple of weeks, thankfully only a small job this time, should be out next day.

 

We have a weather warning of heavy rain for the whole of the afternoon. So I have just put my flowering pelargoniums back in the GH. Don't want them going all soggy.

Cool, grey, light breeze and lots of rain. Thunder storms due this pm. OH is out playing golf in some inter club competition for "seniors".

I am keeping our elderly dogs company and, other than checking the seedlings and collecting today's eggs, I'll be staying in and sewing.

Hope today went well @burnie - and anyone else having procedures.

A bit late on show me we are dog sitting our Granddaughters dog Lily for the next 6 days she wanted to go for a walk! anyway 15c cloudy can’t see any blue sky yet but must get on some sifting of compost to crack on with.Happy Gardening

 

At 6am all good. Sun still shining until 8.30am. Having new polytunnel erected and when they came at 9am still good but clouds developing. Then 12 noon...the heavens opened but they have kept working. Now we have sun then rain then sun then rain. Always the way when you don't want rain you have it.

 

The thunder we had a warning for last week arrived this afternoon, but it was only one rumble and not a drop of rain ... although there was a yellow warning for rain this afternoon.
Maybe we'll get that next week ...

 

Just managed to get some busy lizzies potted up before the heavens opened. Phew!

2mm of rain this morning, seems to have dried up now and bright or sunny intervals 19c.

 

It was overcast all morning. I went with T'other Half about an hour East of here to buy three guitars and it was overcast all the way. Coming back the sky cleared and we are full sunshine here in 22,5c.

 

Nice gardening day sun and cloud17c ,but felt a lot warmer in the sun ,took a dead acer out ,the roots took some shifting but perciverence paid off in the end theres a large hole to fill .

 

Nice gardening day, dry, warm, not windy and some sunny spells. Managed to trim a long privet hedge and hope to do the other side/top tomorrow.
