Whats your weather like May 2024

After a dry but cloudy spell it is at last brightening up with blue sky moving in from the East.
21c.

 

Another yellow warning for thunder here today.
Did we have it ? ... well we never do get what they say,
but my neighbour had been to a not-far-away town, about 15 miles away by the sea, and said they had it there - torrential rain and thunder, and the drains couldn't keep up with the volume of water.
He was surprised to come back here to find it dry and sunny !

You'd think the rain and thunder would be here in the hills but it was the other way round

 

Another warm, sunny and dry day. However night temps are forecast to go down to 7C for the next few nights. A bit chilly overnight then.

Is it the weather that getting lots of red ants to come out everywhere? They're just basic red ants - no wings. Piles of them!

 

It’s been warm and dry and mostly cloudy. I think I just heard a thunder rumble… wonder whether that will bring the rain that others have had?

 

High was 22,7c now 19,2c. Sat in The Jungle Room for two hours, wonderful because it was brisky windy.

Grey is sky here, feels fresh. I grab now my hot-water bottle and go back to bed. Hopefully when I wake up, we have the promised 22c.

Cloudy but dry here. O'night low of 11, and 11 just now [8.20am]. Predicted high is around 19 degrees, and it's meant to brighten up later. Hopefully won't be like yesterday's heat, or I'll be forced to stay inside and do ....housework.....

Full sun, warm and still. Very quiet for some reason. No mowers, no aircraft. Lovely.

 

More blue sky than clouds now with the sun warming things up nicely, we must have had a drop of rain overnight as the grass has doubled in height....................
