We have persistent rain, but not heavy, so welcome in this dry part of Scotland, 12 degrees and a bit breezy, quite thick fog/low cloud/Harr with visibility around 200 yards/metres.

It’s thick cloud today and much cooler at about 14c.

It’s acceptable for gardening though, should the mood take me.

The sou'westerly a bit too blustery for my liking and
the thought of 2 nights at 7c won't suit the tomatoes,

Once again our forecast was dry with sunny spells. Instead we've had very wet with dry spells all morning and up until an hour or so ago. Now the south facing liing room window has bright sun and blue skies whereas the east facing one has heavy clouds and a wee bit of silver lining.

Weekly shop done and stashed. I'm off to check the wee'uns in the polytunne, scatter soe slug pellets very thinly and then sew. Patchwork homework to do.

I took out again the winter fleece and a hot-water bottle this morning. Cloudy but dry and a blustery wind. 14c in the meantime.

Just sat looking out at the dull cold clouds and heard the usual Airbus A380 taking off for Dubai - lucky people. Even Woody is miserable. Our heating would come on if it was allowed to.

I can remember many years ago, me and a mate always went out for a smoke at 4pm and every time we would see the daily Concorde heading East from Heathrow, to I think, Dubai.
