Whats your weather like May 2024

Dry start here today. Overcast and a little bit of wind, Temperature currently around 11c.

 

Bright and breezy, but looks like rain later, lazy day planned early start tomorrow.

 

Morning. We don't turn it on unless we go over 30c ... so may do later. It is a heat unit too. I lived in Alabama for 14 years and that was sticky heat ... at least it is dry here.

 

Not there in Wales today but here in Newark-on-Trent it’s light breeze, around 16c blue sky with a few clouds nice day for a walk after .

 

The forecast is for sunny spells with some cloud. It is, of course, the other way round so far but comfortable for me to nip out in a minny and plant the veggies that were rained off yesterday.

In Belgium heat was always humid which made me comfortable to garden up to 23C but not so much when hotter. Here, we nearly always have dry heat and I can function up to 30ish with lots of sunscreen.

Heatwaves here are regularly around 40C in the shade which I thought was hot when we visited Uluru in 2001. We retreat indoors and put the shutters down. The house was built by farmers in 1930 and the wall are about 2'/60cm thick and made from local stone so, as long as we keep the sun out, the rooms stay fairly cool.

 

Cloudy today but dry and breezy.

 

Oh dear, we are just shy of 29c at noon ... watering done and we are IN. Furries are out, silly Minikies

 

It is sunny and calm. Currently 42f 5c and the guessers say it will be going up to 70f 19c. Another perfect day!

 

Drizzle on and off with a moderate breeze from the north north west temp 15c feels like 15c.

 

Got to 36,4c, so now 33c and have come in for light meal (part-baked rolls, cheeses and white onions) ... sat out in the front shade of house (East facing) for 90 minutes fresh air and breeze. A/c went on at 35c. Apparently same tomorrow ... then we go back to mid/high 20s.

 

Had a couple of light showers earlier, but just had a fairly heavy one so soaked again just in time for the snails to come out.
Temperature dropped considerably in that heavy shower and its cold at 13c.

Not looking good for the next two days either.
