Whats your weather like May 2024

warmist day so far

 

Its 20c here and some good sunny spells, some real heat in the sun now but the first I've noticed as its only been weak hazy sunshine on and off for weeks.

 

At 7am it was 4 degrees. The sun was out and it started to warm up. Managed to do lots in the garden and the wildlife loved it as well. It got to 14 degrees by lunch but with very little wind felt a lot warmer. This afternoon reached 18 but the clouds have come over now some very black but no rain yet.

Mizzle all day, which never shows up as rain on the above. Went past a campsite today and it was packed, rather them than me!

 

That's what my neighbour does. Whenever it rains he gets his caravan out. Yesterday he went off in the rain and drove from north of Birmingham to the Clents south of Birmingham. They spend all their time in the pub if it rains. Rather stay at home than sit in a wet campsite.

 

All-day sunny intervals, now it's sunny and a gentle breeze from the south south west temp 15c feels like 15c

 

Still raining here. Non stop all day. Chappy came at 5:30 to look at some trees that need to be felled before they land in our neighbour's plot and we all got soaked.

He works outdoors yet came in canvas shoes and a sweatshirt! OH offered to lend him a pair of wellies to tour the plot but there's no way his size 47 feet will get into OH's 43 wellies.

 

Got to 26c for most of the afternoon. Now 24c with a breeze so feels cool-ish that the sun is way back out West.

 

That's where we would be in a normal year @Victoria - the last 7 since we moved here anyway.

 

Been crystal clear with a gentle breeze all afternoon.

My goodness, this is warm. We're up to 66f now. About the 2nd week of July, we get put in the oven to bake until late August.
