After a month with no rain it turned up to spoil Easter weekend. Light showers with grey skies and no sun. Just gloom!

Looking at the brighter side of things, dry Aprils for the last three years, lousy summers. Let's hope we have a turn round this year. :)

A little white lie, we did have sun, ten minutes maximum, just enough for this. :) 055.JPG

Shiney you have to prepare for the rain

Evening out, wear a short sleeved shirt with light slacks, no jacket, and an expensive haircut , ditch the Rolex and wear a dress watch, Do not take the car, call a taxi to pick you up OUTSIDE the venue for 22:00 The heavens will open up at 21:59 and the taxi will roll up at 22:37 It is the only way to do it, even better results if your wife does similiar, has an expensive coiffeur and wears Jimmy Choo shoes with five inch heels

Works for me, you may have an uncomfortable evening but your plants will love you for it :-)

Ziggy, don't shake Shineyland, I've only just got the empty pots all stacked nicely. :rolleyespink:

Sheal, you mustn't pop my bubble. We haven't popped anything around here since the weasel - and we don't grow cherries!

Jack, can't do anything you've said. I don't pay for haircuts (though it can still look expensive), and only wear tracksuit bottoms, rugby top and trainers everywhere I go. That's been my standard dress code since I retired. I even wear it when I go for meetings at the town hall :heehee:

Last night, we went into Chelmsford to the cinema and saw 'The Most Exotic Marigold Hotel' - excellent. It stayed dry all night and we now have some lovely sunshine, no wind and it's 41.3F. The small amount of drizzle yesterday seems to have perked up the rhubarb and I shall pick a load to sell this afternoon.

Clear blue skies this morning, just a very light breeze, a tad chilly at 5 degrees but at least there's no frost....:)

Good amount of rain overnight, the bowser is 3 quarters full. Brilliant sunshine now, too windy to put stuff out to harden off though.

Bright, breezy, but with showers on and off, pretty chilly though. Keep popping into the garden every so often between showers, as neighbours dogs (3 german shepherds) got into my garden and jumped on my onions!

Now clouding over; the first heavy shower cloud is approaching blown along by a brisk icy breeze that has now got up too....:frown:

Sunny all day today and still dry. I hear that they had heavy rain in London earlier and that isn't all that far away

Yesterday turned out to be much better than expected after the one shower just before dinner, it was sunny all afternoon, with the temperature topping 13 degrees although it was slightly spoilt by a strong cold breeze...

This morning its 4 degrees, well broken cloud and NO wind, so looking good at the moment..

It rained on and off all day yesterday.
Today so far is dull and damp, seemingly heading in the same direction as yesterday.
You see Merle - it's not just Manchester.

The front lawn was covered in frost but the back lawn wasn't . I've been out there pottering around for the last hour. Quite cold in the shade but lovely and warm in the bright sunshine.
