Still sunny and feels fairly warm. Can see heavy rain about a mile away.

A lovely warm day today up to about 4pm, we had light winds, wall to wall sunshine with just a scattering of clouds and then this came in....

    Plants 092.jpg

It brought thunder and lightening with torrential rain and hail lasting for the best part of an hour with no breeze; even after it finally passed it carried on raining lightly on and off for a further couple of hours. Interestingly just before the storm arrived the temperature rose a few degrees quite quickly...

Wow! That's a storm cloud that looks as if it means business Bilbo. Good photo.
We've had a similar day here, started off clear and frosty, lovely sunny morning then heavy, thundery showers during the afternoon.
One thing I like about this type of weather is the dramatic skies it produces, I took this one at work this afternoon in between showers:

Same as Bilbo, fine up to 16:30 then temp rose from 9c to 13 then tremendous thunder and lightning hails stones and snow, Garden about half an inch deep in hailstones
temp drop to 1c, and where there is no hails stones, the garden is swamped in about half and inch of water NOT DRAINING OFF
Now 23:25 6c outside, drizzle and still swamped with water

Well, I spent most of the day in Manchester again and didn't get to see much of the outside weather. But when I got back home it was still warm and sunny, so it was a quick mug of tea, a saunter around the garden, and then a sit in the Arbour to de-stress and leave the day behind.....lovely:snork::coffee:

We had the dark clouds and thunder but they dropped their rain elsewhere.

After a pretty pink dawn,a spell of sun then cloud, i:SUNsmile: ts now gone sunny again and I'm gonna go out and open the mini GH lid and pot up 3 Coreopsis cuttings that have rooted. I think I will pull a few more off the Mummy plant and do 3 more. They have rooted like crazy since 21st March when I put them in.

The sky went black so I bombed out there quickly shut down the plastic greenhouse flap and put the two cloches over my seedlings and just got back indoors and the heavens opened and let down a load of hailstones.........psychic or what I must have been to catch it just in time. Shiney didn't you get any of it?
