Been raining now for 6 hours solid and showing no signs of letting up yet, moderate to heavy rain too; on the plus side its not windy, there is a light breeze but nothing bad, but its cold........I've just been to pick our son up from playgroup and I'm soaked, I don't get this wet swimming...:heehee::snork:

The sun is shining again now but I'm not sure how long it'll last.

The wind started up in the night and then the rain followed. It's not stopped all day with the wind driving the rain from the East.....never a good sign. So it's not a gardening day today and the cats aren't best pleased as they want to be out there!!:cat-kittyandsmiley:

Patio has dried up here and one or two brief shadows which quickly disappear. Wind has quietened down too.

Anybody know how to fit an outboard motor on a mower?
Haven't been able to mow the lawns at work for the past two weeks now, we have had rain every day for the past nine days.
Last dry day recorded here was on the 16th.

I think we are in for a grizzly night. I don't feel too relaxed about - don't know why. Sounds pretty naff out there - drawn the curtains. Don't want to see it anymore. Feeling colder too...

          Another foul day.

After another soaking wet day at work, got home, paddled out into the garden after tea to see how things had fared, to find the wind and rain had given my Broad Beans a right battering.

So, with yet another huge black cloud looming on the horizon, I quickly grab posts, hammer and string to give them some support in the usual fashion, string along either side of each row.

You just can't do things properly when you're in a hurry can you?
Drop hammer, pick up hammer, mash top of post by hitting it too hard, ball of string unravels and gets tangled around feet, trip over string and stomp on Broad Beans. :gaah:

Got there in the end, should have done it last weekend when I had the time. I blame you lot. :WINK1:
