Our internet connection packed up on Friday, the prospect of a whole weekend without GC loomed large. :yikes:
Never mind, I thought, I'll be able to get lots more actual gardening done this weekend, I spend far too much time on here anyway.
Cue nearly two whole days of continuous rain. :wallbanging:
I kid you not. It started raining on Friday night, it rained all day Saturday, it was still raining on Sunday morning (with gales thrown in for good measure). It finally stopped raining at around 3pm on Sunday.
That makes 13 consecutive days with rain here.

Today dawned clear and SUNNY!! :thud:
A glorious sunny day with a gentle cooling breeze. Got home from work this evening, just managed to get the grass cut, then at 6:10pm precisely - it starts to rain. :gaah:
It just couldn't stay dry for one whole day could it?
          14 days and counting.

Hi Trunky. What a nightmare of a weekend you had - and no GC!! Glad you got a bit of vitamin D today. It's gonna be thin on the ground tomorrow I reckon.

A lovely day today, warm sunshine almost all day; a light to moderate breeze but nothing like the wind of yesterday....

Warm in the sunshine today 13C, but a chilly breeze in shaded areas. It's nearly 11pm and it's still 12C. :)

I'm getting that feeling of de-ja-vu again, woke this morning to the return of a strong northeasterly wind and rain just starting...

That's what we're getting here at the moment, wet day, dry day, wet day, dry day etc etc....

Wet again here too. At least the wind is having the day off. Everything looks lush and green but an absence of flowers on the communal lawn. No daisies or other little low growers that slide unscathed under the mower blades. I am feeling a tad sorry for nurseries whose livelihood depends on shifting summer flowerers. It will be petunias and geraniums next and on a day like this- it does not inspire one.
