It's been raining heavily most of this afternoon and temperatures are still low around 10C. I have puddles forming on the lawn which on my sandy soil is a rare occurrence.

Our sudden heatwave has put us up to 34c now days and 24c nights, at this moment we are 28c ... we are supposed to go back to normal by Friday, ie, 20ish days and low teens nights ... have had to put a/c on which we never do this time of year. May have some rain next week ... :love30: ... so we will continue to water twice a day ... good job our water bill was only €13 this month which includes meter rental and rubbish collection twice a week (in the country).

Yesterday was for the most part dry and sunny; very warm out of the wind but cool in it. We had one heavy shower of rain and hail just before dark.

Today we are promised strong winds, heavy rain and hail and a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon!!!!!, so far we have nothing, its completely the opposite, the suns out with well broken cloud, there isn't a breath of wind and its reasonably mild for this time in the morning...:rolleyespink:.......it could all change very quickly I know, so I should have kept my mouth shut...:mute::loll::heehee:

They have been forecasting that since last September, and will probably continue to do so until it eventually turns out to be true. But I did wonder if I needed some gloves this morning.

8c max today. Earlier was raining then hail showers and now it's very windy and sunny. Feels mighty chilly for mid May.

Another abandoned day regarding the garden, windy and cold with hailstones thrown in today.

I've always followed my mum's lead. Gardening when the weather's good, housework when it's not. I've got a very clean house at the moment. :heehee:

First half of the day was sunny but then got back to the normal cloudy gloom. It's 9C at the moment at 11.05pm. Back to rain tomorrow.
