Constant wet stuff. Had a bit of a recce in le jardin earlier and noticed that yesterday's hurricane annihilated the lupins which got flattened and decided to grow horizontally. Everything else ok with some flopping here and there. So lots of cut flowers around the house.
Note to self: get secondary overflow waterbuttage sorted!

Surprisingly we've had no rain yet. It's threatened occasionally, but stayed dry and the temp. seems to be about 17C.
A breeze has started so possibly it will get worse later, but hey ho, was able to do a few jobs I didn't expect to get to.(especially with my little helper on hand)

Apart from a 2 hour dry spell just after dinner when I managed to get a few jobs done in the garden its been none stop heavy rain; especially the last 3-4 hours....

It has been reasonably warm though and touch wood the winds have stayed light so far..

What a miserable day! Torrential rain and very windy. Not looking good for tomorrow either and all those poor people camping here for T.T. are being washed out. It's the last race day tomorrow and I don't hold out much hope for that either. The British weather brings such joy!

It was actually quite warm and bright this morning, then heavy rain for about three hours followed by sunshine.
Dont like the way the wind is now picking up, everything is in full leaf now and the ground is very wet,( someone tell S.E. Water:biggrin:),so its not a good combination.

Just before dusk we had some very very heavy rain for about 30 mins, my rain butts turned in to mini versions of the Niagra falls; quite an attractive water feature as it happens :snork:, the water was coming out of the down pipe a fair old pace and the butts were over flowing quicker than the return pipe could take the excess water away...:rolleyespink:

Still raining now and the wind has got up a little but still not too bad......

I'll second that.....:love30:, and can you make "another day" sometime in the autumn

Dry here at the moment, but the sky looks like its about to dump a few more gallons of the wet stuff...

Breezy but not too bad and the temperature is at 13 degrees at the moment...

Horrendous this morning. Heavy based parasol on its side (must have been a strong gust there), lupins, campanulas flattened. Rose stems snapped off. Large pot with the 3 Maskotka toms has fallen over. Everything looks absolutely fed up with it.
Blowing a very strong gale still, barometer very low but it is dry.
                        So weird,
