    Slow &slower

    Evening all,
Weather, well its been raining all day, that misty rain, the type that drowns you,

So not a lot done outside today but i did go and post a letter in the little village approx 1 km from our house,

This village is very very french, its not changed at all for years, it has a cafe/ come bar, this cafe is well used by local builders/ drivers etc it has two choices for the 12 noon meal, "take it or leave it" But it get packed every working day as the food is that good, the inside & outside look very plain, but a lot of the countryside shops and cafe have this look about them, its the way of life here.
The post office is in the village, very old in its layout, a chair sits at the counter for the old and one lady works the counter, (madam rush) but she never has been known to rush in any direction,
and the last shop is the hair salon, all the old village ladies use it (its only open 2 days a week) monday "halfday" and friday.

After i posted the letter i joined the traffic, two horse carts, i police car, 4 tractors, and a hearst,
Behind the hearst was a line of people saying goodbye to their friend and loved one,
Its not the done thing to pass such a gathering od people and so it was a slow drive before i could turn down the track that leads to my house "but long enough to think about life and the slow or fast pace it is?

    We've chosen the slow pace.

Sunny but windy today and parts of the island reached 17C, apparently a new record for the island in February. It's 10.20pm now and 11C. :)

A totally beautiful day:thumbsup: Blue skies, a warm wind, the sun shining and a temperature of around 64f...........wonderful. I ignored my backache and had a sit in the Arbour with a mug of tea, wandered around the garden trying to plan ahead, had a little prune of the roses, moved some stuff out of the Green House ready for it being sprayed with Jeyes Fluid inside and out and cleaned out........amazing what a bit of sun will encourage you to do.:heehee::heehee::D

We always used to clean the greenhouse with Jeyes Fluid but haven't done it for at least 20 years. The greenhouse is always jammed with plants and it's too much work to take them out, clean the house and then put everything back. We don't seem to have had an deleterious effects .

It didn't take many minutes to empty the Green House, Shiney, as there was only a few pots, buckets, canes, and bits and pieces in it. I just feel easier later in the year knowing I have sterilised the Green House thoroughly. The trouble is I usually get it all over me as well as the Green House and have to put the old clothes I've been wearing straight in the Washing Machine after I've finished.:heehee::heehee::D

        Deer Deer Meeee owwwwwwwwwwwww

        Morning all,
Well thats a change as a norm its good evening, (reason why in a few mins)

Weather first, dry, misty morn but warmer, its forcast sunny spells later,
Ahh Yes the springs just around the corner.

Anyway why the early morn bit "i hear you say"

Well about 7am i was having a shower and i could hear this coughing sound outside and a cat mee yowing (excuse spelling)
anyway then the dogs started and so i got dressed and went outside!

It was a small deer, it had got its head stuck in the wire fencing of the field next to our house and thats why it was making this coughing sound,

The cat lives down the track from us and she'd decided to become the whistle blower and let us know what was going on.

When i got within stroking distance the deer gave up and just stood there,
I went to the workshop got an old pair of tree loppers and the dogs water dish and after the deer had drank it was just a case of one snip and the wire came free from the deer and he ran off, stopped look at me and off again.

The cat "grisette" (it means the grey one in english) started to rub against my leg making all these puring noises,

I stroked her and asked why didnt you free the deer???

        SHE REPLIED "MEE HOWWWWWWWWWWWWW:yess:
        Have a nice day folks:dbgrtmb:

This morning was cool, around 51f, with a light persistent drizzle. The in the afternoon the sun came out and it wasn't a bad day!
