That's good news for you I think then Penny :heehee: The sledge won't be coming out just yet then.

Sunny here, but cold.....didn't have to de-frost the car this morning. But I was driving around last night and it was flashing around 1c. The sun gets on my car in the morning, so if it's a light frost it's normally melted on my windscreen before I go out.....very glad I pulled all of the bulbs up yesterday I wanted to keep ..... the dahlia I have left should be ok until the foliage blackens.

Well, it's a bright, sunny day in West Cheshire with a generous sprinkling of cloud and now at 1.55pm there's very little wind with the temperature at 49f. It's been warm enough for me to take a cup of coffee down to the Arbor and have a sit in the sunshine. Due to the forecast of Frost for last night and this morning I brought in the Banana plant and three Palms...............and there was no frost!:rolleyespink::scratch::D:heehee:

Yep, we're not too far away from each other Cosmos, but you're higher up than me. I'm on the West side of the River Weaver on the Cheshire Plains which is softer than Staffordshire. You get snow before I do:D:heehee:

I think you're right, Bilbo, we and the Met Office were fooled by the missing frost! Still. it didn't do any harm and got us on alert for the coming Winter.

Hi Armandii, I used to live around that area, know it really well; Rudheath to be precise, lived there for 32 years before moving to Derbyshire with my wife....:thumb:

Hi Bilbo, it's quite beautiful around here. I'm only a "stones throw" from Beeston Castle and you can see for miles and miles from the Mound. I know Rudheath although I don't often go there or through it. That's a bit a change, Cheshire to Derbyshire!!! My brother lives behind Doveholes on a farm so I know the Buxton, Bakewell, Baslow area quite well, especially as my family worked for the Chatsworth Estate from around 1700. Nice county but not enough trees for me, and the weather can get a "bit harsh" during the Winter!!!

Yes, we are a lot higher up here, close to the highest pub in the UK :):heehee: I bet it's windier for you though Armandii?

I know Buxton well, only about 15 miles away....I took my driving test there :heehee: Get yourself over to Dimmingsdale over my way Armaandii plenty of trees there :dbgrtmb: and right by Alton Towers if you fancy a spin on a rollercoaster :dbgrtmb: (the novelty wears off when you've lived by it all your life).
