Well, it started off bright enough with plenty of sunshine but cold. But by noon it had clouded over with a threat of rain and has stayed that way. The temperature didn't get above 48f but now it's 8,25pm the outside temperature is 45f.

Having been away a while I am trying to catch up.
I've been checking the weather forecast for our area of Northumberland (the cold North?). Sorry if it does not match other GC member's conditions - wherever you are.

For the period to 17th December (as far as it goes) we are due at worst -3C, some showers, some sunshine.
No heavy rain is forecast and more significantly NO Snow :yess:

If poor old Bill Foggin was still with us he could have told us about Christmas Day.
We're going to have to wait a while, but I'm delighted to say that at this time last year we'd had 12"+ of Snow by this time and it didn't go until into the New Year.

This year is most definitely an improvement. Even the winds we had last week did no damage.

Mystic Jack, you don't want to blow too hard :heehee:

When I went out earlier this morning it was 5C but we've now had a warm, glowing, sunrise - and it's still 5C :D

Our forecast today is rain this afternoon so I had better get out there and clear some leaves now - or I could sit down with my feet up and a nice cuppa and read. A very hard decision . Now, where did I put that book? :what:

Started off nice today with hazy sunshine but quickly went down hill; a bitterly cold wind with rain all afternoon and its raining again now...

We got our -3C last night (it felt a lot colder)
Today the frost has gone. It's damp on the ground but clear skies, chilly but +4C.

Sunny here in the Fens. About 3 deg C. A very bitter wind blowing over the flatlands so feels much colder.

Still no frost as yet here in Cheshire, although the temperature at night has been down to 37f.
It started off well today, sunshine and blue skies and then degenerated into a stiff cold wind and the temperature dropped from 47f to 37f and has stayed that way.:rolleyespink:
