ARMANDII, Yep!!! I tell Mrs Shiney I've been playing a bridge match. :heehee:

It's was quite a pleasant drive coming out of London and round the M25. Virtually no traffic apart from gritting lorries.

This morning we have our first proper frost of the season but the sun is out and the sky is blue :sunny:

COLD again today, started freezing around 8.30am, ice on the footpaths, the sky has been so black at times its felt very eerie, we have a couple of spells of heavy rain from that....

I think you're sending some of your snow over to us, Penny!!!:heehee: I'm in Manchester at the moment, sneaking 15 minutes on the Net, while in the office. I not a fan of Cities and when it's wet and grey like this I'm even less of a fan. The temperature is around 44f, it's cold, wet and grey................I wanna go home!:D

Definitely a chill in the air here today, I actually had to break out the thermal long pants for the first time, this marks the official start of winter!
After a cold, frosty start the temperature crawled up to about 6°C by early afternoon.
Having said that, it was gloriously sunny with a clear blue sky, the sort of day when you can see for miles.
I always think a lovely sunny day is a bonus at this time of year, gladdens the heart and relieves the winter gloom. :sunny:
Another sign that winter has officially arrived; I counted five Blackbirds all feasting together on the berries of a large Pyracantha at work today. Until now, they hadn't touched it.

Similar to yesterday 0700 -2c heavy frost ICE on car windscreen rather than frost, noon +1.5c 2000 -3c one inch of snow (snowed 1700- 1800)

Neighbours VOLTAIC CELLS Still covered in white, I thought the Sun melted the frost on these and produced electrickery (have to ask Scrungee about Electrickery tea and a cake :-)
I can not see him getting a weeks free electrickery and £16 back from the Electrickery board this week

Horrible day today, frequent very blustery heavy showers of rain and occasionally sleet, cold again. It is very winday again at the moment with the showers continuing.....

Weather warnings out for some parts over the next few days - gale force winds and snow, I think we may miss the worst of the winds here but we are supposed to be getting snow showers by Friday...

Drove back from Manchester this evening through showers of sleet and rain. When I got home the wind was blowing cold and hard. Not a night to be out, and tomorrow according to the forecast is going to be worse. Not working tomorrow so I'll stay at home warm and snug and watch it all. Outside temperature at 9.15pm is 41f.:D

Cold today 4C with some sunshine and high winds. It's now calmed down temporarily until tomorrow, severe gales forecast for the island and gusts expected up to 75mph.

The winds over the last few weeks have caused havoc with our sailings from the island, so food supplies etc. are getting low. Tesco's today and last week looked like it had been raided. Not a lot on the shelves.

Sheal, there was something on the News about the Isle of Man Ferry not being able to sail for a few days leaving the shops on the Island short of goods??? If Cheshire is forecast for taking a beating with the wind.....I'd hate to be where you are.......batten down the hatches.:what::WINK1::D:heehee:
