Damp but calm and sunny today. I'd forgotten what sunshine was like!
    Temperature 6c.

    We're promised snow showers tomorrow.

It's been a lovely - cold - day. Got all the fruit trees in, plus the scented shrubs and native hedging and got the stock fencing round the orchard finished.

Ten, this evenng, while sitting with my meditation group in Hastings, the hail came crashing down. Now it's raining steadily and as Dai said, with snow forecast, it's not a cheery prospect.

Thought I'd have a day at home tomorrow but the guy who onws the house where I look after the garden wants me to be there as he's expecting deliveries. What of? you may ask. Why, wine and a Christmas tree!:)

Well, done on getting the jobs done in this weather, Boghopper. I lived in Hastings for nearly two years on the East Hill [Tackleway] and then George Street near the front, got reallly cold in the Winter, but had great fun fishing off the Old Harbour.

I reckon you're due to get the snow rather us, Dai, Good Luck!!!!

We have snow falling here this morning in the Midlands but as the groiund is very wet I doubt if it will settle:mad:At least we haven't got the strongs winds and the bitter cold that we have had all week:D

Jack,Shiney gets the heat wave coming off of London so that is why he has reasonable dry weather down in Essex but I think we have beaten him this year up in the Midlands as our resorvoir is only 50% full and the water board are having to pump water from the river Nene to top it up:D

Hope everyone who is affected by bad weather today manages to come through it safely:)

      Jack,
Rhodesia!!! Now that name takes me back. I was out that way in '64 when Northern Rhodesia became Zambia and Nyasaland became Malawi.

Shineyland hasn't quite got the same climate but we declared independence in 1972. Which, like the state of Southern Rhodesia, hasn't yet been recognised by succesive oppresive governments :heehee:. The only difference in Shineyland is that we do have majority rule :dbgrtmb:

I can't give this morning's current weather report for Shineyland as it's still too dark to see what it's like out there.

It's been raining here all morning so far, just looked out of the window and it's turning to sleet.
My first sighting of the white stuff this winter.

My dad says he's had about 2 hours of heavy snow in Northwich, Cheshire this morning; straight after a frost so they got an instant covering :D

Nothing here in Derbyshire, quite cold and cloudy, no frost this morning...
