Well, at first they said Cheshire would get a lot of snow and then they said "no, just rain, sleet and possibly snow showers. So here's how today has gone weatherwise:

Due to the Local Council being obviously caught on the hop I'm now not able to drive to the main road due to the snow and I hear it's absolute chaos out there anyway!!:D

That's some snow 'shower' you had there Armandii!
Some very seasonal photos too.
Hope you're well stocked up with survival rations, must be at least 2 or 3 inches of snow there, you could be stuck in for days. :)

Wow! You've had proper snow. Kandy's going to be jealous. :D

I've just come in from the garden after doing 40 minutes out there in the fading sun. It was very cold but hardly any wind. so not bad as I was well wrapped.

I had to replace my deer defences that the wind must have moved. There were signs of intrusion but very little damage.

          Did someone mention my name?:D

Yes I am dead envious{can't spell jealous:D}at you getting all that lovely white stuff Armandii and you can send some of it down to me right now:heehee:

Bilbo we were due to come up to Derbyshire to spend Christmas and the New Year up at Losehill/Castleton but have had to cancel it so I will be most annoyed if they end up with lots of snow while we have wind and rain:DOH:

It' stopped snowing around 6.00pm and although I tried twice more to get out onto the main road I failed. I did get a glimpse of the main road and it was nose to tail with halted traffic. Even trying to get back home was a fight just trying to keep traction.:what::D The outside temperature at 7.35pm is 34f with a forecast of a big drop. My Moggies are split over the snow, Sally the oldest has opted for the fireside, while Jenny has made quite a few forays out into the snow.:D

Miserable morning in Kent with some sleety stuff. But hey! Nothing like we got last year! It's back to the usual wimpish South Eastern Christmas. :yess:

Even we had a bit of sleet today.
All gone now though. Back to chilly winter evenings.
          I can live with that.

Some snow on the mountain road but not at low levels. 1 - 2c all day and gloomy.

Gosh, you really did get dumped on Armandii! We just got "wet" snow here in East Sussex (fancy you living in Tackleway, such a pretty street).

It turned to rain then stopped about midday just leaving it cold. Clear tonight so I guess we're in for a frost. Glad I'm at home drawing tomorrow.:dbgrtmb:

Yep, we certainly got caught out, Boghopper. The council obviously had to call out the Snow Ploughs but that took time and it caused chaos. I still haven't managed to get out yet!! The ironic thing is that Europe's largest Salt Mine which feeds most of the UK roads during the Winter is just a few miles away!!:wallbang: The snow actually settled on wet ground but still managed to stick easily because it came down so thick and fast, really big flakes.:D

This morning, no frost, no snow, no rain, no wind, not even a breeze, no cloud, but we have lots of lovely sunshine :sunny:

Oh! and no temperature as the thermometer is showing 0C :D
