That new greenhouse of yours is doomed Ziggy. This is the second battering!

Gale force winds still, no rain today though.

It's picked up down here too, I can hear big things blowing down or around outside, I'm off to bed in a minute to hide under the covers.

If anyone has any spare rain, could they send it here please. We are in 'rain season' and had one massive storm on 24 October when Faro Airport got blown away (well, part of it) and one overnight light rain since.

We went four months with no rain in the summer and we desperately need it. We are watering every couple of days.

Please, please, please send us your rain ... :love30:

More horrific storms overnight, that's all we've had this winter.
Over the past 2 days i've had 2 plants uprooted - a beautiful ceanothus and a photinia, every winter at least 1 plant is uprooted by the storms :cry3: :cry3: :cry3:

We had a fair bit of rain last night + gusty wind for several hours.
Nothing too severe though and everything is dry and calm this morning.

From other posts read, we seem to have had it easy. The only problem I can see is the Garden waste wheelybin has blown over. It has no weight this time of year, so not difficult to tip.

Best wishes to those with more severe issues.

Very high winds since yesterday afternnon. Worst overnight with the house creaking and the roof groaning and driving rain for hours. Seems a bit calmer now and have had a quick recce outdoors and all is ok except a lovely mature hydrangea has been blown down and snapped at the base  Still otherwise all ok so shouldn't complain, though have hardly slept a wink all night zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Very very windy here today and last night, lots of debris around, thankfully no damage in our garden although we do have someones full shed roof planted in the veg patch , quite how high this was flying when it came in I don't know but it missed our 10ft plum tree and my newly erected arch which is about 8ft tall!!!!! Also had a LOT of heavy rain, but its cleared now and is sunny, just need the winds to start dropping...PLEASE

It's been fairly bright on occasions today, but when the sun went in the cold wind made it feel freezing. The wind has lessened but the outside temperature is only 43f.:cry3:
