I've had to stop dismantling the greenhouse & come in out of the sun for a bit, was getting heatstroke, and you know what that does to me.

    Its Official, Hottest October Ever.

Britain Basks In Record October Heat - Yahoo!

Just tried to have a kip in the caravan, big mistake, like an onion & tomato scented oven.

Busy as ever down West Bay, Caravans & Grockles all over the place.

    Hi Ziggy.
Here in Milan, we are experiencing high temperatures too (highs at about +28 C).
    Anyway that's not the point.
It is certainly an unusual thing but not very much so.
We had hot octobers in 1986 (highs at +28 C) and in 2009 (highs at +30 C).
So I am not that surprised.
    But.
    But.
I just happened to browse around in the net, here and there, in the various weather websites and I said to myself: "just have a look to the weather in London. Just to have a look. Nothing else..."
    "What !!!!!!?????:OUCH: "
"There certainly must be a mistake..."
    "High at +28 C ???".
"No. They must have mistaken 2 with 1. It probably is +18 C".
Then I watch the various weather video reports.
As a matter of fact, they do speak about the unusual hot october in London and mid-south Britain as a whole.
They are in T-Shirt and Shirt.
They only miss the swim-suit to bath in the see... :)
    So I relize: "It is true ! +28 ! There's no mistake !"
I guess it is a fact to be reported in the Guinnes Book for records...
And, as a matter of fact, all the reporters talk about one of the hottest octeber ever. Probably THE hottest october ever.
The various weather-bulletins show a wide Anticyclone overspreading the whole western Europe. I Guess it is the famous "Azores High" that uses to bring summer weather in Western Europe.
Particularly hot is the heart of France, where such cities as Bordeaux and Toulose - just to mention a few - have recorded highs at +30 C !

    Regards !

Very Hot yesterday, ending with a brief heavy shower.

Today has been muggy but noticeably cooler than yesterday; this afternoon a strong breeze has got, tipping over several pots!!!!

There's definitely a change coming :thumb:

Seen the papers this morning forecasting frost almost anywhere by the end of the week and snow in Scotland down to the Pennines!!!, they put it as a 20 degree drop in temperatures over the next 2 days!!

Yep, it's been cloudy skyline to skyline here in Cheshire with temperatures of just over 70f.
We've had some really dark, heavy clouds and it looked like rain but nothing came of it.:D

    Just look at this:
    Ulan Bator.
It is not my location. Not at all.
It is the capital city of Mongolia.
Elevation: 1,350 m (4,429 ft) above see level.
47° 55' degrees North (the same latitude as Munich in Bayern).
Yesterday recorded a high temperature at +15 C and a low at minus 6 C.
Just a bit of chronology for Ulan Bator:
    August 28: +15 +30
    September 15: -9 +3
    September 23: 0 +20
    September 28: -2 0
    October 3: -6 +15

Not bad. Is it ? :D
How would you react to such a "Thermal shock" ?
I mean: switching from +30 to minus 9 in just a few weeks.
Switching from zero to 20 degrees over the same day...
And, what's more, how would react your plants and your garden to such a weather of extremes ?
    Blimey...
In the meanwhile, we enjoy our "october summer" with temperatures surprisingly over +25 in the whole Western Europe...
Weather discussions are always a good subject....
