Not quite sure about that! There is a distinctive appearance to the descendants of the Mayans and some of them have an extreme dislike of the 'incomers/invaders' from Spain and Mexico.

I've spoken with some of them in places like Chichen Itza, Copan, Quirigua, Uaxactan and Altun Ha. Their oral traditions, passed down through the generations, quite often don't agree with the 'official' Spanish origin versions. It's quite interesting sitting and chatting with them.

Didn't go into work today so I had a wander around the garden with the hope of doing some gardening jobs, but the grey, damp and drizzly weather just got me soaked and cold. The outside temperature rose to 50f but has now dropped to 46f.

Can I ask that we conspire to keep this Thread for the weather and, if needed, start a conspiracy thread or would that start a conspiracy theory about me being a Mayan?:heehee::heehee::D

      Yes, M'lud! :love30: :D

The Weather the other day was quite windy and brought down the bird feeder, amongst other things. The pheasants made the most of it.

Today was glorious . I had a good walk to the village then later this afternoon I wandered round the garden. Unfortunately, my back is too bad at the moment to take advantage of the weather and get some gardening done.

So I took a couple of photos.

move along nothing to see no ice age yet
By comparing current conditions with a similar period between ice ages 780,000 years ago, the researchers estimated that glacial inception – an early sign of an imminent ice age - should start in the near future.
Extreme swings in temperature between Greenland and Antarctica suggest that this process is beginning, they said.

lazydog, at the speed glacial ages move I don't think I'll worry too much about what they call the 'near future' :D

Yesterday started off a bit drear but turned into another gloriously sunny day

Today seems to be starting well as the sky is suffused with a warm incandescent glow

A lovely "spring" day today in every way except for one thing; the date on the calendar

You'd definitely be forgiven for thinking it was late March to early April today :D

A lovely Winters day with blue skies and the odd puffy white cloud here and there. The outside temperature was around 52f but has now dropped to 48f. It's gonna get cold tonight:what::D

It's sunny now and 54F in the main part of the garden but feels like 40F at the bottom of the garden.

It didn't get above 39f today but the Sun was out all day with not a cloud in the sky. Sitting out in the Arbour with a hot cup of tea and watching the birds feeding on the seed feeders was really nice, but I needed a thick fleece on to watch them without getting cold. It's 10.20pm and the outside temperature is 34f.:what::D
