Frosty this morning again (-4 last night), the frost has hung around all day really apart from in the sun traps, was only forecast to touch 0 tonight before the mild front moves in but it is already -1.9 here!! and its a clear with no breeze.

First days gardening work today too for 2012, loved every minute in the lovely wintery sun and frost on the ground, loads of birds about keeping me entertained too :thumb:

      Here in france

This morning at 7-30am it was still dark outside and the garden was all frosted, the tree's all covered in spiders webbs, and the greenhouse glass iced up, i filled the bird table thinking the birds would'nt be using it until day light had arrived but as i watched our roxanne (german shep) have her pee and i looked around the distant hills i couldnt help but think that it was so silent i swear you could have heard a mouse fart! and then as i closed the kitchen door the birds arrived to feed, and for me? Another perfect day was about to start here deep in the countryside,
      peace perfect peace,

Who could ask for anything more??????:doggysmooze:

Still got drought conditions here :(. Bulbs etc doing well because of surface dampness from dew but trees and shrubs suffering. They've forecast the possibility of some rain today  but not holding my breathe.

It was milder today and although not raining it was very damp. This dampness combined with a fairly strong breeze mad it feel a lot colder than the frosty and sunny days.

        binman day

        Hi all,
Well the alarm went off (as norm) at 6;30am Oh it's not a clock alarm "No" it's a little dog we got from the animal rescue 9 weeks ago and at first he was so meek and mild (and scared stiff & half starved) wouldnt say boo to a goose sort of dog,
But now he's found his feet "or should that be paws?" for some unknown reason he wakes and barks everyday at 6-30am!
We've found that if we get up and turn the landing light on he's a little bit more forgiving and lets us have 30mins & then he's off again.

Well up at 6-30 this morn and down the stairs by 7am all showered and ready to let the 3 dogs out so they could do their pee pee's, "It was raining that very light mist sort of rain (the sort that soaks you in seconds) as i was out anyway i thought i'd fill the bird feeder up and give the dogs an early breakfast, it's not cold here in this part of france, No frost!
By the time 8-30 am arrived i was off for the 2 mile walkies with the otherhalf and the dogs, got back about 10-30am "still mist rain" and its been the same all day on and off until 4 pm (walkies number two time) and it was dry and mild (who said life was'nt worth living?:WINK1:)
