I'm back home after my morning shift at Milan Malpensa Airport.
Early this morning (5:00 AM) while I was driving to the airport, my car termometer was displaying minus 15.
Then the temperature has drop further at minus 16.
I was working at Terminal 2 (the terminal where operates a well known british low cost airline whose colours are white and orange. I do not want to say its name not to do any advertisemet. I can only say that its name is "EASY" to remember...:D).
Well, during the engine start-up of the aircrafts (A319), a huge white smoke-cloud could be seen around the engine (due to the temperature gap between the hot exhaust and the freezing air all around).
    Exciting experience !

      Hi ziggy.
Well, actually nowadays everyone has a cellphone with enbeded camera (or smartphone). So, it is always possible to take pictures...
Anyway, I guess that also in the net (google pictures) it is possible to see pictures of "Malpensa". Or if you go on www.airliners.net and then you type Malpensa in the "search box"...
Unfortunately, I have a cellphone bought in the year 2006 that does not take quality pictures. So I am not eager to take pictures... I will be disappointed by the low quality. I guess the scenario would have been fantastic by landing today in Malpensa: all the countryside, the woods, the houses-decks snow covered, and all the smokes coming up by the chimneys for the heaters...

          Yes. :)
If I want to shot a documentary film on Siberia, I shot it over here and then I put the title "Siberia" on it. Whoever will discover that is not Siberia ? I can address my friends: "ler me show you my picture of my last journey in Siberia..." hehehehe :)
And maybe they will reply: "Oh really ? Very interisting ! Very intriguing !" :)
(Actually, what "interesting", what "intriguing" ??? I have shot them behind my home... :))

We have a blizzard out there at the moment, but we managed to get home after a 4 1/2mile walk this afternoon just as the first flurries were starting and it is already white and the wind is strong as well so the flakes are flying past the street light outside our house:D

A dusting of the white stuff.

          Evening all,
Weather here is cold -8deg most of the day and forcast colder this evening,

Its times like this im glad ive done all the house protection stuff, ie loft,
centrial heating & the good old wood burner,

It makes so much difference when you can see a flame, and with the woodburner it makes the evenings so much more of a relaxing time.

It's not a simple task going for the walkies when the snow's turned into ice and then the little dusting if fresh snow on top! Its like natures trap "walk on me if you dare, one slip and your down".:yess:
But i was always told by my granny "Always look for the good in every situation and when you think about it these freezing conditions do help kill the common fly, But my grand dads reply to my granny was
"Can you tell me the we're was the bit of good when the germand bombed our house?
Her reply was , It could have been next door!

"But we lived in a terraced house at the time, All it would have ment was we'd have a wall-papered outside wall":o

Ahh they're both gone now and all my child hood upbring was with them,
I thought grandad was deaf, but one day he told me "only when ye gran starts kicking off, thats when the deaf bit kicks in":D

Well, I haven't gone out for the last two days due having some sort of bug. But looking out of the window I can see, that despite all the dire warnings of deep snow all West Cheshire seems to have got is a light dusting of snow and ice crystals.:D The temperature outside at around 11am was 26f but has now risen, at 7.55pm, to 31f.
