Murky, damp morning with light rain turning the snow to 'orrible mush, temperature currently 1 degree...

Forecast of colder weather again from Wednesday after 'slightly' milder temperatures today and tomorrow...

The snow started to melt a bit yesterday evening but then had a change of mind.

Glorious today. Snow still around but melting. Misty on the beach - foghorn sounding at the harbour.

        Evening all,
It's been a freezer here (france) today but no more snow,
I turned the T.V. on this morning to have a look whats going on in the mad world and in the uk they're talking about buying goods for next christmas:cool:

But if it turns them on who am i to laugh?

Ive been indoor most of the day (after walkies) continuing with the decorating and im pleased to say the beamed lounge cieling is finished, (thank god for that part)
so its been a nice day just listening to the tv as i worked away, who wanted a DNA. result and what % did they think they'd pass?????
oH 100% ive not been with anyone " I swear on my kids lives"

The D.N.A. test says;;;; your a dirty little liar.

Ohh decorating has never been so good:heehee::heehee::heehee:

But apart from this and walkies number two ive had a nice day.

Wunderground's no good for me Zig. I'm about 130 miles east of the nearest station so I'll have to rely on the good old Beeb.

BTW. Love the picture of Tom. Lives not far from us. You can hear his voice booming round the local Waitrose - if you go in there.

According to my local forecast it won't go lower than -3C all this week and we're only 30 minutes from dim

Can I choose mine, please? :heehee:

In my location it's a RECORD.
Early this morning, around 6:00 AM has been recorded the temperature at
              MINUS 18

I was there (At Malpensa Airport) working outdoor in the Apron - as usual - for my morning shift.
In english you have a verb: TO BITE.
Well, that's the proper word to describe how it feels like when it minus 18.
Minus 18 it's a temperature that in Malpensa was recorded only long time ago in January 1985.

Today, the coldest temperature in a low-land has been recorded in the town of VILLANOVA SOLARO (Elevation: 879 ft, in Piedmont region, not too far from Turin): MINUS 24.

Here some significant temperature recorded in NORTH-WEST ITALY (where the cold wave is being more intense):

MILAN MALPENSA minus 18; minus 3
MILAN LINATE (5 miles away from downtown Milan) minus 12; minus 3
              TURIN minus 14; minus 3
              BERGAMO minus 11; minus 4

Here some picture of my town (Castano Primo, 10 miles away from Malpensa Airport)

                Just look at this chart.
                One thing "pop up" immediately.
Just look at Iceland (in the up-left part of the chart).
                It is SURPRISINGLY WARM.
Temperatures well above freezing point (the same colours as Sicily and Spain, for example) that are indeed a strange thing for a land situated at such a latitude as 64 north.
I think that the real reason for what is happening in central Europe: that anomalous warm weather in north Atlantic causes such an air mass circulation that makes cold air from Siberia affecting central Europe.
Something like that occurred in January 1985.
At that time, for example, were recorded "Spring temperatures" well above freezing point in Greenland !

PS: SORRY. THE CHART IS FROM THE WEBSITE: www.wunderground.com
