Seems to be drying out a little after constant drizzle from breakfast time. But the sky is full of grey watery clouds which bode ill for the late afternoon. Time for a mug of tea and then feed the Roses, Cannas and Bananas which seem to like this warm damp weather. Outside temperature is 57f.:dunno:

Oh what a grey day........drizzled all morning and then we had a couple of hours of heavy rain this afternoon, stopped about 3pm and the sun is trying its best to break through. Reasonably warm, but after the rain stopped a cool westerly breeze got up..

Two days of sun shine together. Got to be a first! :)

A while back, if we could sell rain, the price would have been high. Now we couldn't even give it away and the only person likely to take it off our hands would be Shiney.

      Sorry Sheal!!!!

Too many people must have been listening the other week when I said that we still need the rain. It all arrived last night. It started raining heavily about 8 p.m. and continued until 1.30 a.m. I'm pleased I got the mowing done yesterday and the day before :dbgrtmb:

The sun has been shining for about an hour now but the wind seems to be picking up.

Been a grey day with the odd bright spell here, over 20 degrees at around 3pm when the sun was out, however since then there have been a few heavy rain showers (with another one just starting now [1640 approx].

        Just had a hailstone shower!

Normally, at this time of year it woud have marked ripening outdoor toms, and shredded runner bean/courgette/marrow/pumpkin/etc. leaves.

But there's not much for it to damage. Cold rural temps also forecast tonight -and I don't know whether I can be bothered if they'll damage anything that aint already beyond it.

Hey, Scrungee! Cheer up. The plants always fight back :dbgrtmb:. You may not have the usual crop but there will still be a harvest.

Surprisingly nice today, cloudy but plenty of long sunny breaks. Still quite a nip in the air though but pleasant.
