it was a very mild morning, with a minimum temperatures of 16.2C

Currently 18.1C but it has stalled due to cloud cover so we may not get much over 20C here today - much more cloud cover than anticipated, so might get 20C or 21C as the max today, but it's nicer than the 15-16C and cold wind we were getting last week.

I got out there at 5.30 this morning to do some heavy work before it got too hot. It was a mild 56F and an hour and a half of digging was enough. 66.7F now.

Just come in from having lunch in the shade in the garden. It has just reached 82.3F so I think I'll have my tea indoors.

Well, it reached 76f here in West Cheshire although the sky was cloudy with a welcome breeze to cool things down. It's also gone quite humid and sticky even with the breeze. The temperature at the moment [4.50pm] is 72f.:snork:

We are temporarily house sitting a couple of cats 20 miles from their natural home.
OH is paranoid about them escaping, so won't allow any windows to be opened until they leave.
Today was 25C for most of the day.
        Sauna time!! Phew

We have fans, but the cats go loopy everytime they are switched on. Only 2 days to go until they get their freedom - guess how long the "heatwave" will last!
