It rained throughout the night and then around 8.00am it turned torrential and has now died away. As it's now very dark with thick clouds and as my lounge faces North I've got some lights on!!

Temps running about 27-28c days, 18-19c nights, pleasant breezes. Actually had an hour or two shower in the night, very nice. Currently blue skies, 25c sunshine and a light breeze. Had lunch at the beach today.

Will be watching Portugal play tonight .. :love30:

I think you're making a lot of us jealous Victoria. Penny's got high temperatures as well, it's not fair! :) I think Britain's going to skip summer this year.

Oh, c'mon Sheal, I don't have Penny's temps ... her's are like the British temps ... up, down, wet, cold, snow, ice, sweltering ... all within a month .. right Penny? :WINK1:

Ours are fairly constant and stable thankfully. :love30: And we don't have the heat of the eastern Med like roders has been experiencing (and loving) at 37c ... we went to 35c for a couple of days a few weeks ago but it was a bit freaky ... we never got to 40c last year.

We live in Algarve, the southernmost province of Portugal, but we are not the hottest. The Alentejo, the province above us is .. it is like Spain ... flat, boring and wide open spaces ... it gets horrendously hot there, into the mid 40s in the summer, but also bitterly cold in the winters, well below zero with lots of frost. We here in Algarve are moderate in the climate and are never too hot nor too cold ... our lowest temp this past winter was 3.5c but we had a light dusting of frost one or two nights. There are places in Algarve that have 'pockets' of frost and even the tops of the orange trees get frozen, but it is very temporary.

Well, despite the fact it has rained most of the day, I'll stick to Dear 'ole UK. Yes, we can have all 4 seasons in one day, but it is a "green and pleasant land", and we can grow most things here. As I said it's rained most of the day, but been fairly warm, and at 1015pm the outside temperature is 54f.:snork:

Well what started out a horrid day yesterday turned out quite nice in the end, from mid-afternoon the gloom lifted and the sun broke through for the last few hours of the day giving a very warm and pleasant evening..

This morning we have broken cloud, but we've just had a heavy shower too...
