I think we've got it hottest in the east. almost 30c yesterday and our bedrooms were almost as hot! even with fans on, no-one got much sleep!

Probably getting on for 30c out there again today (don't have an outdoors thermometer-must get one). was sunny, but now coming over cloudy with rumbling in the distance. yay! :dancy:

We had some thunder and lightning and then about a twenty minute downpour. We were out in the garden having lunch but were under our awning :dbgrtmb:. I had to use a broom twice to shift water that was collecting in the canopy of the awning but it only took a couple of seconds.

    Temperature back up to 91.2F

Cloudy with a smidgen of sunshine here, in fact a day that's just 'hanging'.

      Happy Birthday Terry :hpybtd:

I didn't have time to stop and photograph it, but at just after 6 am this morning I was driving along a road on a ridge above a river valley full of a sea of mist illuminated by sunshine from above with just the tops of high trees poking through it, looking like islands.

Cloudy skies this morning, persistent drizzle/light rain, no wind and 19 degrees, much more refreshing :dbgrtmb:

A heavy mist which the sun is making a half hearted attempt to break through ATM.

We're locked inside a darkened room again, and it's still baking. I haven't been able to do anything outside for almost a week now.
Anyone want to swop for some nice cool drizzley weather?

This is the trouble with French summer weather. It is too extreme. I wouldn't like to be holed up as you are now either,

Luckily it's only like this for a couple of weeks in the year. Similarly in the winter, it's only extremely cold for a few weeks.
