Just got back from a walk to the village and it's still pretty warm. Sprinkler is still on the veggies as it's so dry here.

Just in case you think I'm only saying that to wind you up, here's a photo I took about 6 p.m. today.

The ground is so solid that weeding is almost impossible unless I have put the sprinkler on it for a few hours

Seriously Mr Shiney, is your area very different, weatherwise to the rest of us? You very rarely mention grey, rainy days.:noidea:

We do get rain but are in the driest part of the country and our particular area tends to be drier than the places around us. Apart from June and July (which had a fair amount of rain), we have had very little rain all year.

I know I joke about Shineyland but it really is a sun shiny area. The night time temperature does tend to drop lower than that in ARMANDII and Bilbo's parts of the country but the sun soon brings it up. I guess that the lower temperatures are possibly because we don't get as much cloud. I know that a lot of our plants can be up to two weeks behind those in their gardens.

We get correspondingly cold days in the winter because of the lack of cloud cover but when the sun comes out it, again, warms up quickly.

A lovely fresh misty morning, with the sun just burning it off. Down to 9 degrees last night...
