Shiney, thanks for the offer but you can put the Shineyland Ark on hold for the time being. :)

Lolimac, all is well on the island now thanks. :dbgrtmb: It was touch and go there for a while yesterday, with roads flooded and even though the river in Douglas breached it soon drains as it's at the harbour end. I'm yet to find out if there has been any lasting damage anywhere. Luckily I'm only 200yds from the coast and with a sandy soil the water drains quickly.

The rain stopped in the early hours this morning for a while, but we've had showers all day today and no sun. There's been a good breeze blowing as well which chills things off and the central heating has been on again today.

Let's skip summer and go straight to autumn, the weather's always much better in September. :)

Would have been a lovely dry day today but the annoying wind of the last few days just won't go away, some plants are getting a right old battering :dunno::frown:

A very wet night, but thankfully the wind has completely gone, currently dry, cloudy and murky...although it does look a little brighter on the horizon..:)

It pelted down last night but was OK by morning. Today has been mild and sunny with a couple of short showers. Sunny and warm now.

It turned out to be a lovely afternoon and evening, sunny and bright. Such a change, but as you can see below the clouds are brewing again. Pictures taken in the last half hour from my front garden.

We're promised a good day tomorrow Jenny, but looking out there now at the same view it looks like the heavens are about to open. It's gone very grey.

Hard to believe that today was in the same month as Friday. Managed to get the grass cut which always make the garden look tidier. Everything looking a bit bashed though :(

Wheeee! Blue sky, very gentle breeze and warm too.
Watered hanging basket and deadheaded pansies, dragged a tray of emerging wallfower seedlings (15 up,15 to still arrive) into the sunny area and expect more will pop up today. They are inside a polythene cloche so I must keep aneye on them.
