No further rain here overnight and its looking ok at the moment with just a light breeze, however looking at various forecasts for today we seem to be borderline as to whether we'll get another deluge or get away with a few showers as the huge body of rain swings itself round and returns southwards.
It's not looking good for northwest England, Wales etc today :frown:

Sorry to hear about the flooding around the country

At the moment, here in Shineyland, it doesn't look as though we have even had rain - although we have. We've had a few hours of rain over the last few days but everything seems to have dried up again. The patio is completely dry and we still have the occasional crack in the lawn and flower beds. We need more rain (not too much, please) but only the gentle stuff.

The sun has just risen and it's 49F. The forecast is rain this afternoon and tomorrow.

Had showers of quite heavy rain that I heard earlier on. Typical showery clouds and little bits of blue ATM. Nothing else has blown over, a steady breeze but the barometer has fallen quite a way back. Mild.

Had to drain the raised pond, over flowing!

Sun then showers today - some quite heavy. Feeling colder and I think the temperature will drop tonight. The geraniums are starting to look very sorry for themselves. I think the big cull will be taking place soon.

Been raining all afternoon and is still at it, mainly light though, feels quite mild at the moment too after being bitterly cold this morning, next to no wind again so that's the good news :)

everywhere is flooded in my area: people were evacuated last night and house are flooed. Not nice and many don't have insurance, due to the cost after being flooded only a couple of years ago. I am so please i bought a house above the river.

Sunny with occasional heavy showers, expecting some torrential rain tonight.

Drove back from Birmingham again tonight. All the back roads going home were covered in water. My neighbour said it had not stopped raining all day [it's still raining now] and the Weather Station says the maximum temperature was 49f. Right now at 10.13pm, the temperature is 47f.:snork:

A good reminder that surface road water dictates more care on the roads. Glad you got home safe, Arm.

Just been outside and it is bucketing down; thankfully, all the plants are standing tall with their stems/branches open wide with a "feed me; feed me, NOW!" expression on their leaves.

The heavy rain stopped here about 2pm and then followed with heavy showers. Roads have been flooded and closed and there's also been a few minor landslides. More rain to come tonight with wind but it should die out by lunchtime tomorrow for a few days.
