I know it's a different Broadway but this is poignant.

Got really blowy here this afternoon, and has remained so since - don't think it will be too long before the deluge begins again; I feel sorry for those over in the west who are getting it significantly worse than we are.

We have strangely (not) gone calm after the storm (tornado) last Friday. A glorious Thanksgiving Day which we spent at the river where the tornado hit. Temp around 20c, sunny, blue skies and the occasional puffy white cloud ... perfect! Calm and quiet back here at the house in the orchards, just 12c though, and we have the log fire going.

Had torrential rain all day here yesterday and now all day today it has been so windy practically all the leaves have now been blown off of my beech hedge in the front garden so won't be having the nice copper colour to enjoy through the winter months:gaah: We have just got back indoors from our evening walk and got blown about a few times by some of the gusts:frown: Next week is supposed to be getting colder with frosts so will see if that prediction comes true:snork:

I spoke too soon, the rain arrived about 6.15 and has been torrential for the last 2 hours..... :dunno: not going to do those local streams any good :rolleyespink: , thankfully they shouldn't affect any properties......

On the positive side the wind has dropped right off since the rain arrived...:)
