When I went out at 7 a.m. this morning I had great difficulty scraping the ice off the car . It wasn't frost but last night's dampness frozen solid. The frost on the ground has now gone and I can see the sun trying to fight its way through the mists.

The sun has won the battle so far but the radio is telling me the rain is 7 miles away and approaching fast.

Grey misty drizzel here, the lake at the bottom has got bigger, no hedgerows visible in the middle of it now.

    Currently burning floorboards.

?? Surely, without the floorboards Ziggy, you have no hope of keeping the lake out when it arrives?? Can we have a piccie please? How far away from the flood level are you?

Raining here now too, light but steady, it's gone very gloomy though think its set in for a few hours....at least there's no wind.

There's some flooding in Leicestershire but we've escaped any round here in our area of Derbyshire, thankfully.

Take care out there any of you affected by the rising waters..

Oh dear, this is the communal garden with squares of turf removed as the level has dropped over the years. The idea being to build up the ground and then replace the turfs. We have 2 fine ponds filling up today and judging by the weather widget, they will be full by midnight. And we live at the top of the High Street Two new ponds 001.JPG thank goodness,
