It was icy and cold this morning with smooth grey cloud all over. It started raining around 4pm and still is. The outside temperature is 43f, which is warmer than it has been:coffee:

Persistant rain all day but not the high winds forecast.
Both rivers here, the Frome and Piddle, yes the Piddle:biggrin: , have both boken their banks and there are a couple of square miles of farmland under a lot of water.

Grey cloud just hanging today and windless. 7C and 3C up on the mountain road so the sheep are a little chilly. It's been raining here for the last hour or so.

The rain has finally stopped now but its been replaced by a very stong westerly wind :rolleyespink::doh:..........I think I'd rather have the rain....!!!

Hopefully though it will be as brief as the forecast says as its supposed to pass over quite quickly leaving a reasonable day before.......you guessed it more rain tonight..

A pale blue sky. Was so windy in the night. Went down and put compost bags up against the mini GH. The doors and the top had blown wide open and were banging to and fro. Put another bag on top and its still OK this morning. A few pots over but all is well. Still extremely windy, but not cold.

Not too much trouble with flooding here although some of the lower roads are flooded. We're higher up so no problems.

The wind picked up a lot in the night and I expect to find some problems out there. I can see that our giant bird feeder (little birds are allowed to feed from it as well :heehee:) has been blown cross the lawn and is lying on the paving. I hope it isn't damaged too much as the whole thing costs about £200

The wind is still strong but it's very sunny at the moment.

The Sun is out, no wind or rain now. Not seen any cars going across the moor so i'm assuming that road is underwater now.
