Almost Grannie Annie, but my version was less polite :oopss:

One thing is for sure, I am glad that I decided to have a 'conversation' with our central heating programmer this afternoon, and readjust the timings to be a bit more realistic given the weather.

Strange thing happened here, even though the temperature was falling rapidly last night and the sky remained clear suggesting we were in for a hard frost it hasn't got below +1 degree during the night and is now 1.4 degrees and rising slowly.....frost averted it seems for today anyway :)

9.40 am looks good from inside, bright and dry, but outside only reached 1.5 degrees. Just going to hunt for the thermals!

Been cold here all day, with the local weather station reporting the current temp as 3 degrees - expected low for tonight of -4 degrees.

Local weather station doobery says 1 degree - but Mrs C just opened the back door whilst we were in the kitchen, and it feels even more baltic than that.

We had a heavy duty frost last night and roads were lethal this morning. The sun came out then disappeared by lunchtime to leave a temperature of 2C.

The ice off my birdbath today.

Although the thermometer said the temperature reached 10 degrees yesterday it didn't feel like it did and we kept frost and ice all day where the sun didn't catch it.

Currently -2.8 degrees and still falling towards dawn and a "proper" frost this morning....

Have to agree about the moon, it looked stunning yesterday morning just as it was coming light..:)
