I am on the same time as you fc, so currently coming up to 8.15pm ... your heating went OFF a couple of hours ago? ... we are just putting ours on for a couple of hours before bedtime. We have put the electric blanket on the bed this past week as we are currently going down to 8-10c ... so 15 minutes of heat is heaven with the bed littered with cats ... :cat-kittyandsmiley:

A lovely winter day yesterday, hazy sunshine for the most part, frost hanging around all day in the shadier areas even though it did get up to 7 degrees in the sun, the temperature quickly fell away after dark to -2 by 9pm last night.

Currently though the temperature is up to +0.8 degrees, which suggests there's a possibilty of actually getting some of the forecast snow today as it normally 'warms' slightly before snow. We have been given a 50% chance of getting a light dusting of the white fluffy stuff today so we'll see :)

It was ten past ten last night when I posted - heating goes off at 8.30 as we are generally quite early to bed. We have a wee blast for an hour around 1am just to keep the chill away, and then it comes back on at 4.30am for us getting up for work.

-4 overnight last night, and still -1 at the moment; just having a brew before donning the thermals to keep me cosy whilst working at the rugby today.

Sorry, fc, I obviously can't tell the time as it was 10.19pm when I posted and therefore was not 8.15pm as I was typing as stated ... We went down to 7c last night (our coldest so far) and it is 8.3c now but it's a beautiful sunny day, albeit somewhat breezy, and due to go to 14c.

Reached the heady heights of 6 degrees today, and has dropped like a stone since it started getting dark - thankfully all my layers kept me reasonably cosy whilst working at the rugby; car had a light covering of ice when I got in it to come home though.

Well the frost very quickly thawed this morning and then we had an hour of light rain/drizzle and everywhere was damp again with the temperature reaching 6 degrees by noon....

Luckily this afternoon the sky cleared and the sun was out for a few hours before dusk, even when the sun came out the temperature began to fall again with the clear sky, currently its -1.2 at almost 10pm..

In the first part of the night we got a slight air frost, with the temperature falling to minus 0.7C, but from 2am onwards it jumped back up to 4C and it has been there ever since, with some rain showers too.

A cracking morning for walking the dog. A light breeze and clear skies, with the temperature around the -2 deg. Dropped to -3 deg overnight, so not to bad. Been and looked around the greenhouse to make sure all is well there, and the lowest that had got was 2 deg so cannot complain there.
