    12.30 - lovely, bright and dry - trouble is I'm sitting behind a desk and can only view from inside - typical.

    It rained heavily during the night and today Manchester was cold and grey. Driving back home I saw a partial Rainbow, which is something I haven't seen in a while. The temperature at 5.30pm is 39f.:coffee:

    rain and hail showers on a strong Northwesterly wind. Feeling sub zero, but it is 5.3C (42F) currently.

    We could get some snow tomorrow night, but I'm not sure exactly.

    5.7c?. I talk in the Fahrenheit language:heehee:, but I make that out to be 42f. You're right we have seen some weird temperatures in Europe and they're starting to get the snow now in the Resorts.:hapydancsmil:

    43F just...

    Just for you...

    0C = 32F
    1C = 34F
    2C = 36F
    3C = 37F
    4C = 39F
    5C = 41F
    6C = 43F
    7C = 45F
    8C = 46F
    9C = 48F
    10C = 50F
    11C = 52F
    12C = 54F
    13C = 55F
    14C = 57F
    15C = 59F

    Yes the resorts are.. that means Britain is all of a sudden potentially the 2nd warmest winter country in Europe ;-) (after Portugal) :heehee:

      I can do the conversion in my head as that's something I was taught at school, and also in the RAF for dealing with fuels etc.:snork: It's like riding a bike once you learn it stays with you.:hapydancsmil: We on the West Coast are lucky because we've got Ireland taking the brunt of the worst of the Atlantic weather sheltering us from most of it. I'd hate to think what our weather would be like without Ireland being there, a lot more wetter and windier to say the least.:mad:

        and much milder I imagine! Because Ireland is there we get that little bit less exposure to protect us from cold easterlies. in Western coastal Ireland frost is almost unheard of.. though it does happen around twice a year in Valentia. Now if Ireland wasn't there, I imagine our west coast would be similar (ish).

        Still we can't complain, like you said, we are protected from the Atlantic systems, but also exposed enough to that, to prevent it from getting too cold in winter

          Sunday night it rained - A LOT, yesterday was an ok sort of day, milder than of late due to the rain during the night and dry, temperature up to 10 degrees (50f :snork: ). However the rain returned last night and its still bouncing down now at almost 6am :frown: , temperature this morning is 3 degrees (37f ;) )...:)

          We had sun this morning, rain and some hail this afternoon and early evening, 4C. Now the skies have cleared and we're due a frost overnight.

          There were heavy showers during the night and this morning on my way into Manchester. Getting back home tonight the sky was clear although I'm not sure if there will be more rain tonight. The wind is, and has been for the last two days, coming from the North and the temperature 37f:coffee:
