It's a 'messy' morning today, 2.4 degrees, wet from the drizzle and all the melted frost and there's a light breeze too.....................what a contrast from yesterday's perfect winter's day :frown:

The issue is for us exotic gardeners, the rapid rise from days of frozen landscape to rain and above average temperatures is going to cause a toll.

The other day I said it was -5 to -6C, I wasn't at home, that was a guess based on station around me, so I've yet to find out.. I assume it was something around that though.. I'll find out tomorrow.. it'll be immediately obvious what it was when I see the garden.

This morning was terrible sheet ice everywhere at 7am.
Saw many bumps and crashes on the way to work!
Most of it gone by 10am as the wind and lashing rain came in and still doing it now
      Currently 4'c

What a dreadful day! The gale and heavy rain from last night continued today and is now starting to ease at 5.20pm, well the wind is. I'm out this evening so the rain can stop now, please! Douglas promenade has been lashed and flooded with the sea/wind combination that was up and over. My front garden has puddles again, I'm glad at times like this that I have a sandy soil, even though saturated it drains well when the rain stops. :)

Whilst we have escaped any strong winds so far, we certainly haven't avoided the rain, it's been raining all day but for the last 4 hours it has been TORRENTIAL and it doesn't sound like its going to stop any time soon either :frown: Some what irrelevant but the temperature is 6.8 degrees...
