GRIM is an understatement, been raining all night and all day so far, most of which has been heavy too.

I've been in to Derby this morning on the bus and some roads ar flooded and the Derwent in the city centre is very high.

A stream round the corner from us here has burst its banks a couple of hours ago!!

Oh and the temperature is at 6 degrees...

It has rained all the time since the beginning of the evening two days ago and it's still raining. A dryish day is forecast for tomorrow and after that more rain up to and past Christmas Day!:dunno::coffee: The temperature is now 43f.

It's still tipping it down - quite steady too. All the roads are awash with lakes where the drains used to be. I hope none of you are in danger of serious flooding into your dwellings,
      Zigs,
      Loli?
      speak to me please,

No worries Jenny.....garden under water, ankle deep in the greenhouse and trickling through the air bricks under the floor.....could be worse ...could be ABOVE the floor boards and it's not the right time of year to be walking around in a cozzie..........

Glad you are still in the dry Loli. Hope Aida and her girls have got an upper perch and a small dinghy moored nearby, just in case,

Is it ever going to stop! Heavy rain and high winds for thirty six hours now! Roads are under water and rivers are on the brink of bursting. A large duck pond on a local farm has burst and was running down a main road earlier......no sign of the ducks! Also spotted a water fall cascading down off a hillside that isn't normally there. We are doomed!
