We had 16c in the sunshine today having lunch outside at the river and it's currently 13c. Had a really good rain in the night which was good and the land appreciated it. We are red clay and are like cement in the summer so need our winter rain ... which officially begins tomorrow doesn't it (because we will still be here) and hopefully we will have intermittent rain (sometimes exceptionally heavy) for at least three months in readiness for our six months of no rain in the summer. I love it here and fortunately my t'other half and cats do as well.

Well, I'm back to the lovely cool and damp climate of Shineyland :blue thumb:. Haven't yet had a chance to wander round the garden but it looks OK - but will put my wellies on, just in case. :)

I've been on one of my treks to distant parts and have had high heat and very high humidity - and monsoon rains!

Here in Shineyland, this morning, we have a lovely orange glow in the sky. So I hope it might be dry and sunny.

After 48 hours of rain and wind, today has been a little more settled, calm, damp and grey. 7C.

Drove up to Baslow in the Peak District and it was grey and murky over the tops but it cleared as I drove down lower. I was glad to see there was no rain but there was plenty of pot holes to dodge. The temperature has been in the mid 40f's again and is still 41f at this moment.:heehee:

Just looked at the GC weather map. The whole country is virtually underwater. NOT what we need so near to Christmas,
            stay safe everyone,

10.45 am rain and more rain , the river has reached the fence:hate-shocked: so that means the river level has gone up by 5 feet in just under two days , if it rains all day it will start flooding the garden not good , we need a couple of dry days I think we deserve it by now

Yesterday was fairly mild and sunny but we didn't get anything done outside. Today it has been drizzling and we have got a lot done.
