Update the river has come into the garden so thats another foot since this morning , luckily my garden is on a slight incline and at least its not fast flowing on the edges .
I know a lot of people worse off than me, but still a worry.

Thinking of you Spruce, lets hope the taps are turned off before it gets any worse. Keep us posted please.

Dave, I've just seen your post too, hope you manage to sort things out soon.

The rain didn't stay away for long, it's been bucketing it down again for the last hour or so :frown:, the main road from us to the A50 is now flooded by the River Trent & Trent & Mersey Canal about a mile away, essentially cutting our town off from that direction, thankfully there's no danger of any flooding to the houses where we live..

You've had it slightly warmer than us in Deepest Cheshire, Bilbo. As I said earlier, we've had up to 52f:dunno::snork:

Still raining here. Even my garden is sodden and saturated now and I live on a steep hill on sandy soil.
Sick and tired of this weather. Currently 10'c outside
Supposed to be nice tomorrow so going fishing!

Likewise Mowgley, I'm starting to get 'stir' crazy! We should have a dry day tomorrow, fingers crossed. It's currently 11C here.

Thank you Miraflores, so do I, but with the exception of tomorrow it's not looking good right through to the new year.

I had a word with Santa and he said OK - but I think he kept all the meals for himself and elves! :rolleyespink: The menu was: chicken and sweetcorn soup, stir fried chicken and vegetables with fried rice.

Let me know if any of you got it.

I hope today is drier for all of you. :blue thumb:
