Very brisk north-west wind here making it feel even colder; just been out cleaning the guinea pigs out and its blinking freezing.....!!!! bbbrrrrrrrrr, now thawing out with a cuppa..:)

Blue skies and sunny maybe but at 6 degrees and with 'wind chill' making it feel like 0 degrees its not nice..

Also noticed the slightest dusting of snow just on the ice on the car when we went out this morning....

Well, they did say you'd get snow or hail in the NorthEast, Clueless:biggrin: How come the Weather Forecasters only seem to get the weather right when it's bad weather:dunno::snork:
It's sunny and bright here in West Cheshire with an outside temperature of 45f.:coffee:

Our little bit of snow has gone but we've been having sleet and rain all afternoon.

Well, there's not a breath of wind here, Jenny, we've got nearly clear skies and what looks like a full Moon, with a temperature of 40f. There's supposed to be rain of sorts on the way around midnight though.:coffee:

Wind now dropped right off and its clear with a bright moon, going to go frosty I think quite quickly, temperature is currently 4.6 degrees, but we're forecast cloud later in the night and light rain by dawn so a bad frost should be avoided......fingers crossed..:)

We woke to a chilly start, though not much frost on the grass, :blue thumb: we are in a cul-de-sac and right down in the corner with one other bungalow, so we are very sheltered.:dbgrtmb: Covered everything (belt and braces) just in case.

It was a beautiful sunny morning with a brisk wind. :) Swirled all the leaves into a big pile, Fred the dog thought it was was fun.:doggieshmooze:

Afternoon was a bit overcast, and we finally had rain about 4.30pm. :frown: Looking forward to my extra hour in bed, :snooze: hoping it does not rain Sunday morning, busy with another bootsale. :chicken:

I've just cured a draught too - there is no heating in our kitchen, nor is there any door between the kitchen and living room, and there is an air vent up the side of one of the cupboards on the wall that lets a steady stream of cold air in; worse still, as the air hits the side of the cupboard, it gets pushed downwards toward the floor and results in a draught.

Last winter, I considered extending the central heating and fitting a small rad in the kitchen, but to be honest I didn't fancy having the pipes visible, let alone the cost - so, I placed an oil filled rad in the kitchen on low.

Anyway, I was sat earlier feeling a bit of a draught, and was contemplating digging out the oil filled rad again, when I had a brainwave - - tucked away in a cupboard I had a pair of suede-like, lined curtains that are the ring top style; a quick dig in the shed (freezing my bits off as I went out in my lounge shorts!) and I found one of those spring loaded poles - so I now have curtain on a wee tension pole hanging in the door between the living room and the kitchen, and no more draught :)

Better still, I don't have to pay to heat the kitchen this winter :dancy:

Glorious day here, solar water upto 34c, sunshine all day.

Have got the woodburner on now though as there is not a cloud in the night sky & the smoke is going straight up. That bodes of frost coming in the morning.
