We are 12c at the moment because we are 'supposed' to have some rain. Our ex-neighbour from Bucks (but she lives in Thame, Oxfordshire 10 minutes away now) is coming over in a couple of weeks and said today at lunchtime she was -6 .... horrors! I really couldn't cope with that anymore.

It's dry and cold with a grey sky and a slight breeze that cuts into you. I've done my weekly shopping today instead of tomorrow because of the forecast of snow on the way tonight. I've also bought a fresh 15 kilo sack of bird seeds as the seed bin was running low and I didn't want to leave the feeders empty during this bad weather. The temperature is 33f.......but it does feel a lot colder.:coffee:

Still 3 degrees outside, but wind freshening and starting to feel colder ahead of heavy snow forecast.

Well the top temperature today has been 0.8 degrees, its now -0.2 degrees and has been snowing since about 3pm, only very light to start with but it is steadily getting heavier and beginning to settle :dancy:

As we're now in to the 8th day of what I would term 'cold' weather it would seem that a certain newspaper report that I posted a couple of weeks ago warning us of a cold snap wasn't far wide of the mark :snork: ;) They warned of night temps of -15 and snow, so far -13 has been recorded in Norfolk on Tuesday night and we've had snow and now have the impending 18 hour 'mega' blizzard tomorrow ;)

We've got 31f here in West Cheshire and we've got a dusting of snow and ice on the ground. The heavier fall of snow forecast isn't due until late evening:snork:
