I couldn't see the hills today but know it's bad up there on the mountain road as the roads accessing it were closed. Right now we have sleety rain and a gale blowing. Promised a blizzard late tomorrow. Temperatures have been up and down between 2 and 4C.

The temperature on my outdoor sensor is rising slightly (just above freezing now) - not sure if that is because of heat leaking from the house, or if it is due to the old (and true) adage where it warms up to snow.

Our light snow we had for a few hours last night stopped about 8pm and we've had none since, I know its snowing quite heavily now not too far from here so it may be on the way ;)

    Current temperature is -1.3 degrees

It started snowing fairly heavily early this morning here but although it's about 4" deep it's not as bad as I thought it might be.:snork: Early on the snow was being driven by a strong wind but that wind has now dropped and the snow is now falling down vertically in big flakes. The temperature is now 30f.......and it's not going to get any warmer:coffee:

We've had a gale blowing for more than 24 hours now and the noise is getting to me. Having said that, snow started this morning lightly but I think we might have a white out by tomorrow. Haven't seen this much here for 18 years and what has come down is not a lot really.

Many roads have been closed including the road south out of my village and we have trees down around the island.
