The temperature has stayed at 34f all day with puddles and slush forming on the roads, but part of that is due to the fact that the Gritters have been out all day. The snow in the garden is still deep and crisp and while one of my Cats, Jenny, makes frequent but brief sorties out there, my other cat [Sally] stays parked by the fire. It's been dropping tiny flakes of snow all day but nothing substantial and having just checked the Weather Station the temperature has dropped to 31f.:coffee:

At 7 a.m. this morning my car was telling me it was -2C. It's now saying 0C.

When I was in the garden filling up the bird feeders at 11.30 a.m. it was 30.2F. It's now trying to snow.

The snow continued to fall yesterday evening but had almost vanished this morning, it doesn't last long here. A grey day today with a little sleet. 1C

Wow, it was wild and windy here last night and today. Between the sunshine and showers and temps around 13c we had gusts of +/- 67kph and up north they may have had +/- 140kph !!! :hate-shocked:

It seems to have calmed down now and hopefully gone blown elsewhere. I planned on taking photos of my beautiful almond tree this weekend but I'm not sure if there are any petals left on it ... probably looks like snow on the ground!

Well yesterday was a grey day with very fine snow/sleet persisting for most of the day, hardly noticeable to be fair. The temperature here hasn't risen above 0 degrees for 5 days now and for the most part its been in minus figures!!, we're permenantly frozen :help: :snork:

More significant snowfall forecast for us today from midday and through the night, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire & Leicestershire even being quoted as the areas most likely to see 3-10cm of snow once it moves up from the south east..:)

28F at the moment and snow forecast for the next 36 hours. From now until 5 p.m. they forecast a 30% of snow and then rising to 70-80% for the following 12 hours - then gradually reducing. The TV forecast said we should get 2-4" of snow today.

I have no plans to go outside except for feeding the birds :blue thumb:

Same here Shiney, had to clear an area of snow to put ground food out yesterday otherwise it would have been lost in it :snork:

I rarely put food on the ground as I don't want to encourage rats (lots of field rats around) but I usually put a couple of hands full of seed on the ground, on top of the snow, for the pheasants. They are usually quite happy to forage beneath the feeders or eat from the top feeder (they stand on the crossbar) but the top feeder is out of commission at the moment and I can't get it back into commission until the freezinmg weather is over.

Yesterday we had one male pheasant and 11 females. :dbgrtmb:
