Been snowing heavily, but fine snow, for the last hour. Settling gradually.

    Everything is melting away now.
Yesterday I decided to clear the pavement and road outside my house when a 4yo boy came up to me quite angry, demanding to know why I was clearing the snow away, shaking his finger at me. I told him that I thought a little boy might make a wonderful snowman out of the heap when he broke out in a smile and started patting the heap down to shape it! I can't believe the confidence(?) these kids have nowadays. I know I wouldn't have behaved in such a way as a kid.

Hovering around freezing here, and frozen drizzle falling - bit of an insult to call it snow really.

Well, it looks like a thaw is going on here in West Cheshire as the thick snow is disappearing and the grass in the fields is poking through. The temperature has been around 34f all day, although it's now starting to drop and is 33f right now.:coffee:

Same here Armandii, its thawing fast here too, temperature's only +0.7 degrees(our warmest day for 6 days :snork:), but that's obviously enough??!!

Still got a forecast of 90% chance of heavy snow for tonight for several hours.....we'll see :)

Yes, we've got a forecast of snow due to a "finger" of snow bearing fronts coming from the South for later today and night. It'll stick if the temperature continues to drop.:coffee:
