Wasn't sub zero. We've had beautiful sunshine and the snow has started to melt.

The forecast snow for Cheshire didn't arrive until the early hours of the morning so when I got up it was snowing. It was a fine powdery dry snow and my car had an additional two inches on it by the time I drove into Manchester this morning. Our Council has obviously woken up to the fact that we've got the European's largest Salt Mine in our County and has kept all the major roads clear. So I had to drive through snow in the air but not on the roads. Manchester doesn't even look as though it had even snowed over the weekend! Driving back tonight the roads are still clear and it stopped snowing around early afternoon [according to my neighbours}. The temperature is now reading 30f.:coffee:

With more high ground here than low, snow has closed many roads, to the point where it's now difficult to get round the island. I live almost at sea level, so the grass is still green even though it hasn't stopped sleeting/snowing for three days. It's 1C at the moment.

We've had light snow on and off for most of the day after last nights heavy fall and now have 3-4 inches on the ground and loads stuck to the trees and its stayed there all day; no sign of any thaw this time. It looks wonderful, a proper winter wonderland out there and with temperatures forecast to fall to anywhere between -5 and -10 tonight it's going to be still there tomorrow :)

Not as cold as warned, temperature down to -2.1, currently -1.7, we've also had a brief flurry of snow, just enough to put a 'skin' back on the car...

We have -6 and -9 forecast for tomorrow night and Thursday night respectively but we'll wait and see if it actually gets that cold...:)
